Teaching
I teach small-group drawing and painting classes in Glasgow for anyone who wants to develop greater confidence and clarity in their work — whether you’re just starting out or looking to strengthen existing skills.
My approach is based on direct observation from life, clear structure, and traditional principles of drawing and painting. I demonstrate, explain, and guide each student individually, helping you to see more clearly, understand light and form, and build a solid foundation for your own artistic expression.
My classes are friendly and good-humoured, but also serious about the craft of picture-making — a space where people who love painting can learn, experiment, and grow.

PAINT OFF! with Ewan McClure at Lochgreen House Hotel and Spa near Troon - 17th June, 10am - 12 pm, followed by a two course lunch with wine.
This is a special event, organised as part of the West Coast Canvas Arts Festival, in which II’ll face off against my pal Ewan in a live portrait sketch duel—same model, same stage, two competing artistic visions. Blood and guts TBC.
